Queenstown & Wanaka Ski & Board Rental Gear
At BASE Ultimate Rentals we guarantee you the Ultimate ski & snowboard rental gear. Your gear will be from this season or last season and you'll find the gear you need whether you're just starting out on snow or you're at home in the park or pow.
We offer two levels of rental equipment: Performance and Ultimate. So, you get to choose the ski or board gear that's best for you.
All gear is replaced every 1-2 seasons and maintained by our workshop crew throughout the season. That means you get it the best possible shape for current local conditions.
Both Performance and Ultimate packages come with the option to swap between skis and snowboards during your holiday for free! The Ultimate category allows you to pick and choose your gear for your preferences, ability and current mountain conditions.

Easy to ride, stable, and forgiving, they’re designed to help you build confidence and get comfortable on the snow. Ideal for learning the basics or enjoying smooth laps at your own pace, Performance rentals let you focus on the day—not your gear.

They say there’s a ski or snowboard for every occasion, and our Ultimate range gives you the right tool for the job. Whether you’re carving groomers, stepping off trail for the first time, chasing powder, or looking for an all-mountain setup, we’ve got it waiting in the racks. With a fleet that mirrors the retail wall, Ultimate rentals double as a demo range—featuring the latest top-end skis and boards, all brand new or close to it and fully serviced throughout your trip.
