Head Boot Fitter, Jonny has been selling skis and fitting boots since the '80s and routinely racks up 50+ days on skis over a kiwi winter. 

He's a key part of the team deciding what we offer in stores and he's been on everything on the ski wall that you could reasonably expect him to be on. (The groms' skis are a turn too far.) 

We asked him to walk us through the in-store 2026- 2027 Rossignol ski range*, explaining where each model shines.

Looking a little different for the 2027 season line up, the K2 Alchemist is the shops most tech heavy board, featuring everything you could want or need to help you enjoy a hard charging day up at the mountain.

With a beautifully simple top sheet graphic and a bright poppy base, this thing screams stealthy and fast.

The Depart 2s are new to Salomon's line.They are based off the Depart 1s, so they're new and exciting.

Basically, they're just the best ski for freestyle riders, anyone who loves to hit side hits up at Treble Cone, bit of park riding, just the mountains your playground sort of thing.

So, super cool graphic on these ones.Obviously, when you look at it, it's very appealing to the eye. Yeah, I had my eye on these for quite some time and then someone told me that the top sheet scratches off as you wear them down and it reveals a new top sheet underneath. So, that kind of solved it for me.

We've got recycled plastics in the base of this one. So, a nice mid-flex ski. It's going to keep it nice and playful, nice and energetic.It's not too stiff, not too soft, kind of sits around the middle.
