A tighter sidecut radius in the tip and tail allows you to engage turns easily, while a longer radius between the feet makes the turn smooth and predictable progression. We’ve added a new blend of ICG 10™ Triax fiberglass to the Passport, adding tip-to-tail snap with precise edge performance.

This glass layup wraps our lightweight A1 core - which features three species of sustainably harvested timber, and all of it sits atop a fast and durable Sintered 4000 base.

When choosing the Almanac, you’ll want to size down 5cm, due to it’s wider than average outline (read: Volume Shift™) - so if you normally ride a 158cm snowboard, you’ll want to get your hands on the 153cm length for lapping your favorite run at the resort.

When it comes to tech, the Almanac does not skimp. Camber under-foot with raised contact points in the tip and tail help make this snowboard comfortable riding the entire resort - enough snap for the feeling of energy in and out of the turn, and a fluid feel when transitioning from edge to edge. Have your mind blown by the K2 Excavator. Designed for the new age carver that has to slash every lip insight on the way to the POW stashes. This board is built for fun but also knows when to be serious. The wider profile of the Excavator allows riders to size down 5cm from their usual snowboard size and allows you to get all of the performance out of a longer board without the extra swing weight. This extra width and 20mm of taper benefits riders with wider feet, reducing any “booting out” on those deep corduroy carves and long traverses but don't be afraid of the width, both for male and female riders. The waist width, sidecut, camber profile, and taper were spot on - but some riders we spoke to were looking for something a bit more robust for higher speeds and steeper terrain, and we said…”let’s make some prototypes.” We did, they were okay, so we made some more, and some more, and they f#cking ruled.

The result of proto round #3… the COMMONWEALTH - using the same shape and geometry that has made the Passport successful, with a more “beefed up” feature set for riders looking for something a bit more demanding. Our A1 Core gets wrapped in a heavier weight tri-axial fiberglass, which is then layered in our patented Spectral Braid - a piece of technology that we developed that allows you to fine tune the tip-to-tail flex of the snowboard independently from the torsional flex - it rules, we promise. We topped it all off with a wax infused sintered 4001 base to make sure you’re not getting stuck in the flats.

We believe that everyone should be able to experience the mountains - so the Commonwealth was designed and tested for all-genders. Starting at a 146 and sizing all of the way up to 166W-, this snowboard’s construction, waist width, and flex profile is scaled to meet the needs of the riders for each respective size.
