Targeted to please the advanced to expert level snowboarder, the Alchemist is packed with functional technology. This snowboard features two unique technologies from the K2 camp; the SpaceGlass™ tip insert and the patented Spectral Braid. SpaceGlass™ is a pre-cured fiberglass insert that helps reduce weight, reduce chatter, and increase edge pressure. Spectral Braid is a technology that allows us to adjust tip-to-tail stiffness independently from the torsional stiffness. This lets us make a torsionally stiffer snowboard in the tip and tail to promote edge hold while keeping it more relaxed between the feet to allow for easy turn initiation.

CAMBER
Directional Camber Profile – The most responsive camber profile in the line features camber running from in front of the front foot to the tail of the board with slight early rise in the nose. This gives the rider the most precision and control possible in any terrain while still floating effortlessly in the deep stuff.
CORE
S1 Core - Smooth flexing and durable enough to pack a five-year warranty, the S1 Core is made from three renewable species of timber - Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia. Aspen and Bamboo work together to highlight the snap and response of this wood and a Bamboo-dominant underfoot section at 30° to increase strength, supercharge the edge-to-edge response, and increase the pressure distribution along the edge. We’ve also placed lightweight paulownia in the tip and tail to help to reduce swing weight.
LAMINATES
Triaxial Glass – A glass laminate with diagonal layers that adds torsional stiffness for increased stability and improved edge hold. The fibers three layers of fibers are woven at 45° , 45° , and 0° . This makes for a more responsive ride longitudinally and torsionally.
Spectral Braid™ – K2’s Patented Spectral Braid is a first-of-its-kind variable angle reinforcement that allows for precision-tuned torsion and flex by altering the fiber orientation along the length of the snowboards. This makes snowboards feel lively, energetic, and remarkably composed.
SpaceGlass™ Tip – An American-made Aerospace grade precure fiberglass core insert used to provide unmatched structural performance at a reduced weight. SpaceGlass™ inserts increase edge hold along contact points, reduce chatter, and provide unequaled durability.
Carbon Power Fork™ – Pre-cambered Carbon Power Fork™ additives are strategically shaped to offer greater response and energy return by increasing the width toward the tail - allowing for more material to be engaged, and more energy to be created the harder the tail is flexed. Adds snap to ollies, increases edge pressure, and gives energy in and out of turns.
recess3d – By reducing the number of materials in low-stress zones, K2 is able to reduce the swing weight of your snowboard, while also reducing chatter in the tip and tail - all without sacrificing strength.

Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base – Built using the hardest and fasted sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base hold wax longer than other sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.

Shipping is free NZ-wide on orders over $75*
Order under $75 are $6.99 to ship within New Zealand which is Rural also.
We do charge a $5 rural delivery charge on orders over $75 as this service is considerably more expensive to send.
*$5 shipping for rural addresses - please select "I need rural delivery" at check out as to not delay your order being shipped.
When will I receive my Order? - Depending on what it is and how large your order is plays a big part on how long it will take.
Once we receive your order we will get it out to you as soon as possible. Some times the stock can be in our Queenstown store and needs to be brought over to Wanaka to ship out. Small items, once sent are on overnight NZ Post so should be 1-2 business days.
Larger items such as bags, skis, snowboards are sent with PBT and run on a 4-5 business days south island and 7-9 Days North Island. Sometimes these can take up to three weeks to the North Island so please allow time to get to you. These are also subject to delays due to staff shortages / Christmas madness etc. along the chain.
Please keep in mind that if you have a rural address this can add an extra day or two also.
In general, we ship our orders with CourierPost, which we run on a 1-2 day service with pickup at 3pm each day.
Larger items, such as luggage, skis and snowboards, ship on an earlier service with PBT couriers. This is a fully traceable service. (Just to note: if it is a rural delivery, it can take a few more days depending on your local service.)
PICK UP IN STORE OPTION
Want to come collect your order from our store in Wanaka or Queenstown? Great! We will email you when your order is ready to collect. This can take from 2-4 business days depending on what it is.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
All the stock you see online is in New Zealand! Not from somewhere dodgy overseas.
Orders made during the weekend or on public holidays, when couriers do not operate, will be processed on the following business day or soon after.
Online is a crazy business and sometime inventory can get mucked up in the numbers, we may not have the ordered item on hand. If we cannot fulfil your entire order, within the stated time frames, we aim to contact you within 36hrs (Mon-Fri).
Should you not receive an order confirmation or update please check your spam/junk filter in your email as it may have been filtered incorrectly.
If an item ordered is unavailable for shipping, depending on your preference, we will:
- Substitute another product for your order
- Refund or credit your order.
- Ship your order at a later date
- Contact you when the requested item is back in stock

For Australian shipping, this is based on price so if you think it’s incorrect for what you are purchasing then contact us and we can get you a more accurate quote. This is a tracked service from NZ to Australia.
International shipping is non-refundable after the items have been sent.
*If your delivery is considered Rural / Urban by DHL or to Tasmania, where additional charges will apply, we will contact you to advise you of this charge. At no point will we change an additional amount without your authorization.
