Purpose-built for serious freeride touring, the 2023/24 Rossignol XV Split brings Xavier De Le Rue’s hard‑charging big-mountain board into a powerful, skintrack-ready split package.
| Rider Type | Big-mountain freeride splitboarding |
| Shape | Directional, tapered, Reverse Super Directional flex |
| Flex | Stiff (9/10) |
| Rocker | AmpTek Elite hybrid camber |
| Ability | Advanced–expert |
The 23/24 XV Split uses the same aggressive directional silhouette and Reverse Super Directional flex pattern as Xavier’s solid pro model, giving you a long, driving nose, tapered tail and a very stiff platform that stays composed at speed in serious terrain. AmpTek Elite delivers strong camber between the feet with rocker at the ends, so you get reliable edge hold on icy skin tracks and descents, plus smooth release and float when the snow gets deeper. Rossignol’s GreenLight Pop wood core trims weight for the climb while maintaining the power and stability you want on the way down, reinforced with fibreglass and ABS down the centre of the split for durability. Sintered 7500 base material, 7M Serrated Edges and a freeride-focused sidecut round out a board that’s happiest charging big, remote lines once you’ve earned your turns.
- Freeride-first split shape: Same directional outline and reverse flex as the solid XV for maximum confidence in steep, technical terrain.
- AmpTek Elite profile: Camber-dominant hybrid for bite and power underfoot with rocker at the ends for float and smoother turn entry.
- Reverse Super Directional flex: Extremely stiff under the front foot and waist, slightly softer behind the rear foot for drive and manoeuvrability.
- GreenLight Pop core: Lightweight split-specific wood core balances touring efficiency with downhill strength.
- Serrated 7M edges: Multiple contact points along the sidecut improve grip and stability on hardpack and windboard.
- Sintered 7500 base and ABS: Fast, durable base and ABS reinforcement for long-term resilience in backcountry use.
