Rossi starts with a super light Paulownia core and adds Basalt Fiber for strength and dampening, so you get all the performance without the added weight of metal found in other constructions. A mid-range waist width of 86mm means the Experience 86 Basalt is fully capable of ripping that 8 inches of fresh pow as it is carving yesterday's perfect corduroy.

Combining an extremely lightweight design with high mechanical properties, the Carbon Alloy Matrix raises the ski’s performance across the board, whether in terms of grip and versatility, precision and permissiveness, or stability and maneuverability. The Carbon Alloy Matrix is the result of a clever blend of Carbon fiber and Basalt fiber. Carbon provides boost, lightness and power transmission, while Basalt contributes its shock-absorbing and stabilizing properties.
