The 22-litre volume hits the sweet spot for avalanche gear, layers, water, and small essentials, with a full rear zip opening that lets you lay the pack down and get to everything without dumping gear in the snow. A dedicated front avalanche pocket keeps shovel and probe organised and fast to grab, while a separate internal sleeve takes the Mammut Back Protector for extra spine protection on aggressive days (sold separately).
