Long-reach 320 cm avalanche probe with a fast, glove-friendly Speed Lock system for professional-level backcountry rescue.
The Mammut Probe 320 Speed Lock is built for rapid, reliable probing in deep burials, pairing a long 320 cm reach with a robust aluminium construction. Its Speed Lock tensioning system uses a high-tensile cord and a large, glove-friendly handle so you can throw the probe, tension it in one pull, and feel and hear a positive click when it is fully locked. Stable, lightweight aluminium segments minimise flex in dense avalanche debris, while extremely precise depth markings wrap 360° around the shaft to give clear burial readings from any angle. A drop-shaped probe tip cuts efficiently through hard snow to save energy, and the lower segment is highlighted for better visual feedback as you approach a buried partner. The probe collapses to a compact 45 cm length and stows in a protective cover that includes an integrated emergency plan for quick reference under pressure.
| Waterproofing | Corrosion-resistant aluminium tube sections and durable tensioning cord designed for repeated use in wet snow and freeze–thaw conditions. |
| Warmth | Uninsulated safety tool; ergonomics and large, easy-to-grab handle are optimised for use with winter gloves so you can keep hands covered while probing. |
| Fit | Extended length of 320 cm with a 45 cm packed size, giving professional-level reach while still fitting neatly into most avalanche-tool sleeves. |
