The Mammut Barryvox 2 Transceiver is a digital 3‑antenna avalanche beacon designed to make fast, accurate searches as straightforward as possible, even under pressure. With an effective search strip width of 70 metres and a circular receiving field, it picks up signals quickly and reduces the distance you need to cover across an avalanche path. The large, easy-to-read display with backlighting is optimised for use with goggles, while acoustic search tones and optional voice guidance keep your eyes on the debris instead of the screen during the primary and fine search phases. Built-in self-test, Interference Guard, group check, Rescue SEND, and auto-revert-to-SEND functions add layers of safety for complex rescues and secondary avalanche risk. Weighing around 180 g with two AAA batteries and supplied with a secure chest harness, the Barryvox 2 is compact, robust, and compatible with the Mammut app for firmware updates, configuration, and structured search training.
