Compact electronic airbag pack with Alpride E2 tech, dialled carry options, and a low-profile 25L chassis built for sidecountry laps and lean backcountry days.
The BCA Float E2 25L Avalanche Airbag 2026 is a slimmed-down Float E2 pack aimed at riders who want the security of an electronic airbag without hauling a full 35L rig. Powered by the Alpride E2 supercapacitor system, it delivers a 162‑litre airbag with multiple deployments, cold‑resistant performance, and fully airline‑approved travel—no gas canisters to refill or worry about. With the E2 engine installed, you get around 21L of usable gear space, expanding to the full 25L once the system is removed, which is ideal for sidecountry laps, mechanised days, and compact human‑powered tours. The pack uses PU‑coated ripstop nylon and a low‑profile harness, with side stash and back stash access, curved side zip, internal shovel/probe sleeves, diagonal ski and vertical snowboard carry, BC Link/hydration compatibility, hipbelt pocket, and “cooling fin” back panel vents, so it stays comfortable and functional across a mix of lift, sled, and tour days.
Alpride E2 supercapacitor system:
- Fully electronic airbag engine that’s TSA‑approved, rechargeable via USB, and designed for multiple deployments even in cold conditions.
Compact 25L platform:
- About 21L gear capacity with the E2 unit installed, 25L without it, sized for sidecountry, mechanised trips, and light backcountry missions.
162L airbag volume:
- Large, head‑protecting airbag designed to increase buoyancy, reduce burial depth, and help shield your neck and shoulders in a slide.
USB and AA power options:
- Supercapacitor charges via USB‑C, with optional AA batteries to maintain charge in storage and allow extra deployments on multi‑day trips.
Snow‑ready layout:
- PU‑coated ripstop nylon shell, side and back stash zips, internal shovel/probe sleeves, diagonal ski and vertical snowboard carry, plus hipbelt pocket and “cooling fin” back panel.
Fit and weight:
- Available in S/M and M/L torso sizes, with a claimed weight around 2.66–2.8 kg including the E2 system and roughly 1.5 kg as a bare pack.
