The Armada Shift² 16 MN is a hard-charging hybrid touring binding for expert freeriders who need the strength and security of an alpine binding on the descent, plus pin efficiency for short to moderate climbs.
The Armada Shift² 16 MN pairs a tech-pin touring toe with a full alpine-style downhill mode, making it a serious option for big-mountain skiing beyond the resort boundary. Its 8–16 DIN range, 3-Part Power Heel and reinforced construction are aimed at powerful, advanced skiers who drive wider skis hard in steep, variable and consequential terrain. In ski mode, the binding uses a Micro AFD with an aluminium Power Block for precise boot-to-binding contact and strong lateral power transfer. Switching to hike mode exposes tech pins for efficient skinning, while two climbing positions help on steeper tracks. Multi Norm certification supports ISO 5355 alpine, ISO 23223 GripWalk and ISO 9523 touring boot soles; touring use requires boots with certified tech inserts.
- Hybrid touring design: Changes between pin-toe climbing mode and a full alpine-style downhill binding.
- DIN 8–16: Provides a high release-value range for expert freeriders and aggressive big-mountain skiing.
- 3-Part Power Heel: Delivers increased elastic travel and strong retention for hard, high-speed skiing.
- Micro AFD with aluminium Power Block: Improves lateral stiffness, precision and power transfer during alpine-mode descents.
- Aluminium Hike and Ride Switch: Creates a durable, intuitive transition between touring and ski modes.
- Multi Norm certified: Compatible with ISO 5355 alpine, ISO 23223 GripWalk and ISO 9523 touring boot soles; tech inserts are required for touring mode.
