Here is our website’s “small print”. We're not really small print types, though. So we try to keep things simple and help you out as much as possible. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the policies outlined here.

Please be assured we make every effort to make sure the product available is displayed as accuratly as possible, but sometimes, someone, not naming names.......Greg......scans the wrong barcode or enters the wrong price, we usually catch it but in the unlikely event where an item that has been ordered was incorrectly listed, we'll contact you as soon as we can to let you know your options. This may result in the cancellation of your order or replacement with an alternative product. If there is an error in pricing online, in a product description, name or product image, BaseNZ online reserves the right to contact the customer and make the appropriate changes to the order. If an alternative option is not agreed upon with the customer, the order will be cancelled and the amount paid refunded. 

Hassle-free 30 Day Right of Return

If you are unhappy with your purchase when it arrives, simply return it*.

You may return any item you purchase in new condition (unworn with original packaging and tags attached) for a credit or full refund less shipping costs, as long as you contact us within 30 days of delivery.

Email us at returns@basenz.com or call us on 0800 BASESHOP quoting your name, purchase reference number and reason for return. We will give you a Return Authorisation number and you are good to ship your purchase back to us.

Note: In most circumstances you will need to pay any return courier or postage charges. But we will pay the return shipping cost if you are returning something as a result of an error we made.

*Please note that we cannot cancel orders or accept returns on Skis that have been mounted with bindings to a specific boot sole length specified by a customer. We will always try and work something out to come to a positive resolution but as a rule, if we drill holes in a ski to mount a binding to a specific boot sole length we cannot just unmount the binding and the ski be considered in 'new' condition. Please contact us in the rare occurance that this occurs and we'll treat it on a case by case basis. 

Delivery

Most orders placed Monday to Friday will be shipped within 24hrs of payment being received. Please check the shipping tab on the product you ordered as shipping times all differ.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be shipped within 48hrs or the next working day. Please note again that some products do take longer to ship, see shipping details on individual product pages for times.

We will not deliver to post office boxes or addresses we think suspicious. If this is the case we will contact the customer.

We ship our goods using Courier Post and PBT for New Zealand deliveries and NZ Post International Express and DHL/TNT  for overseas deliveries. Contact us for international shipping prices.

Please feel free to contact us using our contact form, should your goods not arrive in good condition. (Note: We are not responsible for loss or damage to goods that are delivered to an incorrect address.)

International Payments

All international orders will be charged in NZD, exchange rates shown onsite are an estimate only and the final amount charged to your credit card will be determined by the market exchange rate on the day of order as used by your bank plus any commission charged by your bank. BaseNZ.com is not responsible for any variation between the rate shown on site and the rate used in the final transaction used by your bank. BaseNZ is not responsible for reimbursement of bank charges associated with and order that has been cancelled/returned.

Privacy

We only collect personal information we really need, we don't share it with anyone unless you let us and we do everything we can to keep it safe.

Your privacy really is very important to BaseNZ. So we have established and implemented privacy and information handling practices that reflect the highest standards and best practices of organisations doing business on the Internet.

This privacy policy describes the practices that apply to our site, including, specifically, the information we collect about you, when and how we collect that information and what may happen to that information.

  • We will not collect personally identifiable information like your name, e-mail and mailing address and telephone number ("Personal Information") without your knowledge and permission;
  • We will not disclose your Personal Information to third parties unless you have authorized us to do so;
  • And we will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the Personal Information we collect from you.

Your Personal Information

BaseNZ does not collect personally identifiable information on our website, such as your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number, without your knowledge.

Such information is collected only when you knowingly and voluntarily submit it to us (as, for example, when you contact us via e-mail). And BaseNZ uses this voluntarily submitted information for the purposes for which it was submitted.

Ordering:

When you place an order BaseNZ will ask you to provide certain information about yourself, such as your name, mailing address, or e-mail address.

The personal information you submit when placing your order is treated as confidential. We use this information to process your transaction, and we share the information with Visa, Mastercard, Paypal etc. in order to process your order.

We use Cookies

Cookies allow BaseNZ to remember you. If we didn't use cookies, you would have to enter your details each time you visited.

If you really prefer not to use cookies, you can set your browser preferences to not accept cookies. Most websites, however, including BaseNZ, require cookies to process your orders.

Trends, Tracking and Sharing Information

BaseNZ uses standard software for monitoring statistical information such as how many visitors we have to our websites and what countries they are coming from.

These statistics are viewed on an aggregate basis and help us get general overviews of customer trends. We do not look at individual customer data. Personal information specific to each Vendor's sales is treated as strictly confidential and will only be reviewed or examined in the event of a dispute, claim, error or customer request.

Security

Base NZ uses stringently tested technologies to ensure the security of information transmitted via our website and maintained in our possession.

When you place your order, "checkout", you will see a lock icon appear on the status bar of your browser. This indicates that the data that is submitted is encrypted while in transit and so cannot be viewed by anyone other than us. In addition, when we receive that data, it is stored on a separate location to the web server so that it can only be accessed by us.

Links

Our site may provide links to other sites. When you click on one of these links, you are leaving our site and entering another site that we do not control and for which we cannot be responsible.

You should carefully review the privacy statements or policies on any other site that you visit because those privacy statements or policies will apply to your visit to that site and may be very different from our policy.
