How much does it cost to rent gear?

What kind of gear do you rent?

We rent high-quality skis, snowboards, boots and accessories from top brands like Salomon, Rossignol, Nordica, K2, Line, Ride and more — all within 2 seasons old. See our full gear list.

Which rental package is right for me?

Our Ultimate package includes top-tier gear and flexibility for riders of all levels. Performance is a great-value option for beginner intermediate skiers and snowboarders who are happy to stick to the groomers and cruise around.

Do I get a discount for multi-day rentals?

Yes! Get 10% off for 4–5 day rentals, and 20% off for 6+ days. See our current promo codes to see if there's any greater deal available for you! The higher of the offer wins, codes are not stackable.

Do you offer student or group discounts?

  • Students: 10% off with valid student ID.
  • Groups (9+): Email us for custom group pricing.

Can I swap my gear mid-trip?

Yes — with an Ultimate rental, gear swaps (including ski ↔ snowboard) are free.

Can I return gear in a different town?

Absolutely. Pick up in Wanaka, drop off in Queenstown — or the other way around. No extra charge.

Can I collect gear the day before my rental?

Yes — collect after 2pm the day before and you won’t be charged for that day.

Can I take a break during my rental?

Rentals are continuous like car hire. To skip a day without charge, you’ll need two separate bookings.

What’s your refund policy?

We offer full refunds if all mountains are closed, or in case of serious injury or illness.

Is rental insurance available?

Yes — optional insurance is $3/day and covers repairable damage (base work, tuning, edge repairs, etc.). Non-repairable damage (e.g. snapped gear, delamination etc), theft and loss of equipment is not covered, however are subject to an excess to be charged, rather than the retail price if no insurance is taken.
