The 2026 Golden Orca was designed to be just what Travis wanted when he competing in the Natural Selection competition, an amazing combination of the fan favourite Lib Tech Orca and his own T.Rice Pro snowboard. Take his award-winning Orca and make a small alteration to the tail to make it a bit more user-friendly while riding switch in powder, construct it with a lighter, more powerful core, and you have the newest evolution in the Orca line. If you want to stand out in a pod of other Orcas on the mountain, look no further than the Golden.
None of us are Travis Rice so don't be scared of this board, it may sound scary but any free-riding advanced intermediate to expert riders will have a ball on this one.
RIDER TYPE: All Mountain / Freeride / Powder
ABILITY: Intermediate / Advanced
SHAPE: Tapered Directional
FLEX: 6/10
CAMBER
C2X – A shorter, more aggressive banana rocker combined with cambers that sit more underfoot. Extra solid tip and tail pressure for power, pop, precision and end-to-end stability combined with a medium amount of pressure between your feet for carving, edge hold on ice and float in pow.
FLEX
Medium - Stiff – Stout enough to charge your hardest but without being to scary. You can still cruize on this and it wont throw you.
SHAPE
Volume Shifted – Ride this board 2-4 cm shorter than your normal board.
A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. This design improves floatation in powder and allows for smoother turns, making it ideal for freeride and backcountry riding. While it excels in one direction, the taper helps the board naturally guide you through challenging conditions.
TAIL
UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection
By removing the edge around the nose and tail and replacing it with UHMW material, you no longer need to worry about running your nose and tail into objects and damaging the edge. This makes it easy to repair and reduce swing weight.
Lightweight Spin Slim
By tapering the tip and tail of the board you get a board that is lighter and offers less swing weight.
LAMINATES
The Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax alloy glass offers a smooth ride while keeping weight low and the addition of Basalt fiber creates a lightweight, strong, and damp ride. Carbon X are lively, light, and strong carbon fiber strands laid 30° on the board to create a more torsional response under your feet.
SIDEWALLS
Birch Internal, UHMW Sintered Sidewall
Durable, high-impact ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. It delivers exceptional impact resistance, superior resilience, and a smooth, damped ride.
BASE
Sintered Knife Cut Base – High density UHMW. Optimized wax retention and toughness. Wax regularly and repair professionally.
EDGES
Magne-Traction® – Strategically located edge serrations provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions. Turns ice into powder.
TOPSHEET
Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet
This topsheet is made using an eco-friendly sublimation that is both strong and environmentally friendly.
